About

Stefan is an internationally recognized leadership and human performance expert. His client work is centered around executive coaching for clients in high-pressure environments. His client portfolio consists of some of the most prominent institutions in the world, including the U.S. Navy SEALs and their Honor Foundation, and McKinsey & Company. To date Stefan has worked with, counseled, and trained over 4,000 leaders across more than 60 different client organizations in North America and Europe.
 
Stefan has a background from McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in Leadership and Corporate Transformation. Past McKinsey, Stefan held four different C-suite roles at global companies; roles ranging from Chief Financial Officer to Chief of Staff. In all Executive roles, Stefan has been responsible for driving corporate transformation. The total value of the transformations he has led exceeds two billion dollars.   
 
His leadership and human performance expertise have been developed in continuous cooperation with leading scientists within areas such as neuroscience, behavioral science, and psychology. One of his mentors for many years was Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Professor at the Peter Drucker Graduate School of Management and author of many books, including “Finding Flow”, “Creativity – The flow of discovery and innovation”, and “The Evolving Self”. Furthermore, Stefan is a certified Leadership Circle practitioner and assessor.
 
Stefan’s work has gained international recognition and is featured in publications like Fast Company, and in books on business leadership and management, for example the New York Times bestseller “Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us” (By Daniel H. Pink, 2009) as well as in prestigious academic books such as ” The Oxford Handbook of Positive Psychology” (2009), “ESM – Measuring the Quality of Everyday Life” (by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, 2007), “Science and the Dao” (by Livia Kohn, 2016), and “Group Genius: The Creative Power of Collaboration” (by Keith Sawyer, 2008).
 
Stefan published his first book, co-authored with neuroscientist Katarina Gospic, in 2015: “Neuroleadership – effective leadership based on neuroscience and proven methods”.
